This family traces back to Andrew, born in Virginia ca 1830. This family is one of the very few where the patriarch can be traced back before the Civil War. Andrew was born in Virginia, but must have been taken to Oldham Co., Kentucky. There, he started a family before the war, and the family continued to grow during and after the war. Though it is a small family relatively speaking, descendants still live in and around Oldham county.
